Details: Individual and group MNT (medical nutrition therapy) available for people with all stages of diabetes and pre-dialysis kidney disease. Celiac diet instruction also available. Three sessions generally scheduled. The first 90 minute session includes diabetes assessment and initial planning of diet, glucose monitoring, % body fat and activity. Follow-up 30 minute session includes review of records and "tweaking" the diet. Four month follow-up includes reassessment of lab values, weight, %body fat, glucose and diet.
Pathway Dietetics LLC is credentialed with most privaate insurance and Medicare Part B. Individuals with private insurance should check on coverage for diabetes education prior to a visit.
